Kitty?

Sumo update...

He never came to live with us. After not being able to contact his owner at work (she was conviently sick for 6 days), I called her cell phone 1/2 hour before she was supposed to drop him off. This was her response:

"Uh... I've been meaning to call you. I've decided to keep him."

Talk about dissapointment. I mean, I understand if you want to keep your kitty. If I was going to give Isis away, and then discovered I could keep her, I would. No question. But not to tell us until I call YOU, and after we have bought the super expensive, super evil Iams weight control food, that's a little sneaky.

So Isis is happily the only cat in the house. Even if we do try to slip her some of the low cal cat food every once in a while. Not that she needs it.

Knitting? What is that? I haven't really completed anything big since the Caberet sweater. I finished the first of two socks I was making, but I just haven't felt like knitting recently. Besides, I have some sewing that needs to be done.

What sewing you may ask? Well, I'm cheap, and most of my pants (and some shirts) are WAY to big for me know. Like three sizes to big. I need to take them in. I just can't justify buying new pants at the moment.

Well, I did buy a pair of jeans on sale from Reitmas, but they don't quite fit me yet. I can get the top button done up, but can't zip them. Maybe if I lied down first, but how comfy is that?

I remember in highschool, I would be in denial that I was getting fatter by the week, and had to lie down to zip almost EVERY pair of pants I had. How did I not see a problem? Why had food such a control over me? Tekgrrl wears those jeans now (I swear, she is losing weight without even trying, and it annoys me), and I can now wear a pair she bought over the summer.

I'm loving Weight Watchers. Especially the Core plan. I suggest to all Weight Watcher-type people to give it a try for two weeks and see how you feel. It's awesome.

As of yesterday, I've lost 41 pounds on the nose. I love coming home with a ribbon, magnet or Key Chain (YAY). I swear though, I'm not going to be able to see my fridge for all the ribbons I'll earn by the time I'm done.

I've been working my butt off to eat healthy, and do at least 30 min of cardio, but 3 sessions of pilates each week. Under all my flab, I can feel muscle. Very exciting.

I think one I hit 50 pounds gone, I'm going shopping. Yay!

So that's my life lately. How is everyone doing.

Marcos, I know you read this from time to time. Seriously, give us a call. We'll do brunch.

Pheonix? I know you read this site at least once. How are you doing? How's the knitting?

K Po? Haven't heard from you in a while. Drop me an email.

Everyone else, give me a shout. I will try to update more than monthly. I keep meaning to, but sometimes I doubt how interesting my life really is.
