Can anyone tell me...

Why do the guys next to us have to start their music going at 1:08 AM? I don't get it. They are usually quiet after 10:30 at the lastest (which I appreciate, by the way).

I just don't understand. Not that we can hear it in the bedroom or anything, just when I'm sitting at the computer.

Just makes you think, is all...

Still waiting to find the batteries for the camera. I know they're in a box... somewhere... in the appartment...

You all know how it is. Combine that with the fact that Tekgrrl re-arranged the livingroom, I have no idea whatsoever as to where they would be.

This appartment building is here. The last two mornings, the elevator was not working. It's not too bad, we only live on the 7th floor (there are 18 in total), but it's annoying waiting 10 minutes for an elevator that isn't coming. Maybe I'll just take the stairs from now on.

Our graduation ceremony is next Thursday. Which is also my birthday. Not looking forward to it, let me tell you.

I almost hurt Isis tonight. I was playing with her, then I tried to walk over her, but my foot came down on her open mouth. Ow. Her tooth sunk into my foot and I was worried that I had broken one of her teeth, or worse, smooshed her little kitty skull.

But she's okay. And all is well.

The End at Last

I finally finished Valerie, and she is splendid! Once tomorrow comes and there is natural light (and new batteries in the camera), I will post pictures.

I also finished my spider for the Zoo-Along. It's really cute, but I think it creeps Tekgrrl out a little. Adorable really.

Oh. And we finally got to the Farmer's Market today. Fresh veggies here we come. Hopefully I can be healthier in the future.

I do have a question though. Totally unrelated to knitting.

My left foot is really swolen, but I don't think I've done anything to it or eaten anything new lately (besides the new apples I bought today). I'm kinda worried about it. It feels really, uh, firm. Like when I try to walk, it feels really funny. Like a kink in a garden hose. But wiggling it around seems to help it return (somewhat) to it's normal size.

Anyone have any ideas as to what is going on? Could I just be sitting on my leg wrong when I knit? Like I said, this is freaking me out a little.

Close to the finish line

Valerie is almost done, but...

I don't think I'll have enough of the coned cotton I bought at Mary Maxim to finish it. Like, a couple of inches of the sweater done.

Curses!

Oh well, I'll guess I just have to make another order. Which is good, because there is a sweater in the summer Vogue Knitting magazine that I want to make, so I'll buy more cotton for that too.

Not too sure what I want to do with the yarn I bought from Elann. I mean, I know I want to make a summer tank from it, but I'm not entirely too sure how I'm going to accomplish it.

I also want to start sewing soon. Maybe not this weekend, I'd like to do some cleaning and finish as much as I can on Valerie first, but we'll see.

No new pictures, but here is a picture of my beautiful baby to tide everyone over.

New Apartment

I'm exhausted. Tekgrrl's parents came down on Thursday night to help us move in on Friday. Now, we're in the new, lovely, huge, beautiful one bedroom apartment (that the cat just loves), and all I can see is the mountain of boxes everywhere.

It seems like it will never get done.

Valerie is coming along very very well. I'm just about up to the short rows at the bust, and since the sleeves are short and it will be a V-neck, it should progress very quickly. Pictures will come once I've found the camera.

There will be some changes on this site in the next couple of weeks, I took out the works in progress (made me depressed that I lost interest in some things), fixed some links and reposted some graphics that had gone kaput since my free Picture Trail account ran out. I'm thinking that something needs to be done with the colours on this site, and maybe a new logo.

Oh. And everyone should be impressed that we actually get some natural light in this place, and my pictures should turn out much better.
