Just wanted to everyone know that I'm still alive.
I'm just in a bit of a depression over mine and Tekgrrl's inability to find a job. I'm temping right now, and it's not really paying the bills. Tekgrrl can't find work.
If anyone is hiring in the Kitchener area, I'd appreciate it if you could drop me a line.
Pictures and knitting content will come when I'm feeling a little better.

Finally Official!
Well, yesterday was a pretty good day. It was my birthday, and we had our graduation ceremony. Tekgrrl is putting my degree into it's frame as we speak. It's so pretty!
I should have had pictures, but my dad didn't know how to work my camera, and wouldn't let Tekgrrl's mom try to do it. Yeah. I know.
I knit a new sweater out of Katia Denim. It's a tape yarn in a chocolate and burgandy colurway. I want to redo the neck ribbing, as it doesn't sit right, and you can see right down my shirt. I also want to make it a little longer. I still have three balls of yarn left, but it was 2 AM yesterday morning when I finished the ribbing. I use the technique on
Glampyre's blog, so all I had to do when I woke up was Kitchener Stitch the underarms.
To the person who emailed my about my fire costume:
Your email address didn't come through, so I'm posting it
here.
The corset is black with a front panel of a flame print fabric that I found in Walmart, and the skirt was made with about 24 meters of tulle in gold, orange and red. I loosely followed
these direction to make the skirt.
Sorry, I won't send you my costume, the skirt was tossed when we moved, and I love the corset too much to part with it. And I don't have the time to sew for other people. I did use a Simplicity pattern for the corset, and I closed it with a zipper and boned it with heavy duty cable ties from Home Depot.
So now you know my secrets. Try making your own! It's fun, just be patient.
